I had a lot of fun this weekend. it was a really good friend of mine's birthday so we went karaoke-ing on Saturday with some friends and then bowling on Sunday with my roomie and some other friends. I don't bowl so I was just there for the company (one of my friends there is a serious bowler, he has his own shoes and kicked butt on everyone else in our group). Then most of us went to get Mexican food at La Pinata, so let me work in a mini review. They're in Alameda and for some weird reason the address isn't in the phone book. >:( The tequila bar is extensive and the bartenders are efficient and friendly (in fact the whole staff is). I got absolutely hooked on the seafood dishes when i was in Mexico and they have them here. A lot of Mexican restaurants in the US don't have a large seafood menu but La Pinata does so I had camarones al mojo de ajo (shrimp with garlic sauce) which was awesome. Also really good are the nachos, quesadillas and other traditional dishes which were about as good as the ones i had in Mexico.
