I love him because he is super talented. Very few actors can do both comedy and drama well the way he does, any actor who can play characters as wildly different from eachother as House and Bertie Wooster and do it well is fucking brilliant. And anybody who can upstage Rowan Atkinson's a miracle worker. No matter what he's in he is a joy to watch. he is incredibly gifted musically, he can dance, he can juggle, I've seen him do magic tricks, he can write well, is there anything he's not good at?? I also love him because he seems to have a really cool personality, admittedly, I've never met him but I've seen and read many many interviews with him and he seems charming if a bit too insecure for his own good. And, I feel rather guilty about writing this part but I want to be honest, I think he is gorgeous. he has a sweet, cute, expressive face and a beautiful masculine body. I go all wobbly just looking at him.
I love the character because I have a real weakness for smart guys with sarcastic senses of humor. I love his take no bullshit attitude. I believe he is a decent person underneath all the nastiness, he's just been hurt a lot (which I identify with) I relate to his wanting to know things just for the sake of knowledge and his skepticism. I would love to hang out with him if he were real instead of fictional, I don't think I would ever get bored. And I'm just as much of a music geek as he is (I wish I had his talent). When my roomie/best friend and I were watching the eppie where he and Cameron went to the monster truck show the following exchange took place...
Me: I'd go with him to monster trucks if he asked.
Roomie: You'd go with him to the moon if he asked!
my favorite food, which is one reason I picked the LJ name I did. I love it in almost all its forms, cake, cookies, candy, ice cream, hot chocolate, brownies, mousse, pudding, pie, sauce, eclairs, souffles, you name it.
I don't drink coffee at all, don't care for the taste of it, but I do love tea and Coke, which I drink all the time. I am not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination so I have got to have my tea when I get up, I had a pot of Yunan earlier this AM. Sometimes I have tea and then hot chocolate in the morning when I get up partly because I like it but also to help get me going.
5. British comedy
I love British comedy, I'm an American but British comedy is my favorite. I've met three of the Pythons (John Cleese, Michael Palin and Eric Idle), I have lots of British comedies on video and I often prefer the British versions of certain shows such as the Office and Whose Line (I can't stand Clive though). I also love a lot of British humor in movies, everything from Tom Jones to Monty Python and the Holy Grail to Shaun of the Dead, and in literature, ranging from good old Oscar Wilde to P.G. Wodehouse (I was a fan of Jeeves and Bertie Wooster way before Hugh and Stephen were well known, I've read the books since I was a kid!)
