Had a very interesting day yesterday. Had a nice lunch with my dad, I took him over to one of the Indian restaurants on University Ave. in Berkeley for some lamb curry. My dad was really nice about my weight loss and insisted on taking my picture to show my mom. I was wearing my Crow pin and my dad is not into science fiction or cultish TV shows at all, he thought Crow was on Dr. Who for some reason. I found out that my family is not really doing Xmas this year because they don't feel like traveling or having me come to Austin and my sister and niece are traveling somewhere else this year (I don't know where). Apparently my parents will just send me money. This bothered me at first but I got over feeling sorry for myself because there are lots of people who are far worse off than me and can't have much of a Xmas at all because they can't get ahold of any money. Speaking of money, I found a Bart ticket with $12 still on it so I could get into SF and then back home for free. I had a terrific time at both Peet's (super cool jazz and friendly people and good tea) and Godless perverts (discussion group i belong to for atheists who are into alternate sexuality) the only sour note all day was that afternoon as I was getting ready to go out of Games of Berkeley I ran into a former friend of mine. Reasons i am not happy to see this person:
1. gets all over-analytical and puts her bullshit interpretations on things like what songs I pick when we do karaoke. Since she almost always picked "You Oughta Know" by Alanis Morrisette she's got some nerve
2. shows up an hour late with no excuse or even an apology
3. no fun anymore. I have more fun with people I don't even know for fuck's sake.
4. acted like a butt about me being an atheist
5. was real snotty about trans people
6. a long time ago I tried to calmly talk things out about these issues with her but before I could even get a chance to tell her I don't even think trans people are weird she denied everything and got all passive-aggressive on me.
She acted like nothing was wrong and instead of telling her off which is what I really wanted to do I wussed out and made up a very lame-sounding excuse for leaving. I don't think telling her what i really thought would have done any good.

It was locked again and then it was unlocked again. My mail wasn't missing so I think the mail people are just fuckups.
